ZTE’s Nubia subsidiary has finally announced the its latest ‘Z series’ flagship smartphone – the Nubia Z18. It is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core mobile platform paired with up to 8GB of RAM and depends on a 3450mAh battery with NeoPower 3.0 power saver and Q.C 4.0 fast charging.
The Nubia Z18 has a 5.99-inch 18:9 FHD+ In-Cell 2.5D Curved glass display with 91.8% screen-to-body ratio, metal body frame and both front and rear Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It comes with a dedicated voice button, rear fingerprint sensor and run Android Oreo OS with Nubia UI 6.0 on top.
For photography, the rear camera setup includes a primary 16MP (f/1.6, PDAF, OIS, EIS) and a secondary 24MP (f/1.6) camera for portrait shots. The cameras incorporate Neovision 8.0 and AI scene recognition. On the front, there is a 8MP (f/2.0) camera with wide-angle lens for selfies.
The Nubia Z18 also comes equipped with a USB Type-C port, face unlock, Bluetooth 5.0 and DTS+D-BASS for high quality sound. The 6GB/64GB model costs CNY 2,799 (~ USD 409) while the 8GB/128GB version costs CNY 3,299 (~ USD 483).
There is also a Limited Edition Van Gogh Starlight Collector’s Edition which goes for CNY 3,599 (~ USD 526). Sales commence in China from September 11th.
