Obi Mobiles has announced a new Android Lollipop running smartphone in Vietnam. Dubbed Obi S507 (Obi Worldphone S507), the 4G LTE enabled low-midrange device has a plastic polycarbonate body and is backed by a sizeable 3000mAh Li-Polymer battery.
Measuring 139.8 x 69.6 x 8.9mm in dimensions and weighing in at 140 grams; the Obi S507 sports a 5-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) screen resolution, a pixel density of 443ppi and both Anti Fingerprint coating and Anti-glare.
Under the hood, it relies on a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8909) octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD.
In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 13MP AutoFocus camera with Samsung S5K4H5YC sensor and LED flash; and a front facing 5MP camera with Samsung S5K3M2XX13 sensor. It supports 4G LTE with VoLTE and Dual SIM functionality as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.0 A2DP, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS and MicroUSB v2.0.
Available in Black and White colour options, the Obi S507 is priced at VND 2,990,000 (US$ 125). Availability outside Vietnam is not feasible as there are various devices in the global market with better build and specs to contend with.
