HONOR has announced the 50 series of smartphones – the HONOR 50 PRO, HONOR 50 and HONOR 50 SE. The trio feature up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB built-in storage and 120Hz refresh rate on their respective 6.72-inch FHD+ AMOLED, 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED and 6.8-inch IPS LCD displays. They all come pre-loaded with Magic UI 4.2, which is based on Android 11.
The HONOR 50 Pro and HONOR 50 are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G mobile platform while the SE model is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 900 octa-core SoC for 5G (SA/NSA) connectivity. Photography is handled by a quad camera setup with 108MP (f/1.9) main, 8MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide, 2MP depth and 2MP (f/2.4) macro sensors.
The HONOR 50 SE has a triple camera setup with the same cameras as the main and pro models except for the 2MP depth unit. It has a 16MP selfie camera in the centre punch-hole notch and depends on a 4,000mAh battery with 66W fast charging. Pricing starts at CNY 2,399 for the 8GB + 128GB model and CNY 2,699 for the 8GB + 256GB model.
The HONOR 50 has a single 32MP camera in its punch-hole notch and depends on a 4,300mAh battery with 66W fast charging. Pricing starts at CNY 2,699 for the 8GB + 128GB model while the 8GB + 256GB model goes for CNY 2,999. The Pro model has a 32MP + 12MP dual front camera setup and depends on a 4,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging. It will go on sale for CNY 3,699 for the 8GB + 256GB model and CN 3,999 for the highest model – 12GB + 256GB.
The HONOR 50 series will go on sale starting June 25 and July 2 for the SE model in China. It will be available globally with Google Mobile Service in Australia, Egypt, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United Kingdom (UK).
