Panasonic India has announced the successor to the ELUGA I2 smartphone from last year called the Panasonic ELUGA I3. The device comes with various improvements over its predecessor, coming with a slightly changed design, bigger display size, faster processor, higher camera resolution and VoLTE support. it also comes with twice the RAM and internal storage space of the Panasonic ELUGA I2. It is available for a price tag of Rs 9,290 (US$ 140) in Blue, Champagne gold and Rose gold colour options.
Still running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the Panasonic ELUGA I3 is packed in a full metal body and sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) display and is backed by a 2700mAh Battery. On the inside, it is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
In the camera segment, there is a rear-facing 13-megapixel camera with LED flash and a front facing 5-megapixel selfie camera. The Dual-SIM enabled Eluga i3 supports 4G LTE (Cat. 4) networks – up to 150 Mbps download speeds as well as Voice Over LTE (VoLTE), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS.
