Xiaomi’s Redmi has unveiled a new edition of the Redmi K40 smartphone for gamers in China. The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, as it is known, is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 octa-core processor which guarantees games running at 90 frames at full frame and 5G (SA/NSA) connectivity.
Alongside the processor, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition has a three-dimensional cooling system, which uses graphite layers, vapour chambers (VC) and graphene for heat dissipation during intense activities and usage. It is fitted with a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, 16MP selfie camera in the centre punch-hole notch, triple Wi-Fi antenna design and physical shoulder dual-triggers for intuitive gaming control.
Photography is handled by a rear triple camera system with 64MP main, 8MP (119o FOV) ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensors. It also comes with the latest Wi-Fi 6, side mounted fingerprint sensor, triple microphone design for high quality sound and long-lasting 5,065mAh battery with 67W super-fast charging. The phone comes with an ultra-small 67W in-box fast charger and L-shaped charging cable for comfortable use during gaming.
