Official: Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime with FHD display, Octa-Core SoC and 3GB RAM

Samsung’s Galaxy J7 series has gotten another reboot with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime in Vietnam. The device which leaked several days ago is now live on the Samsung Vietnam webpage and far as pricing is concerned; it costs VND 6,290,000 (US$ 282).

Running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with TouchWiz UI on top, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime sports a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display with 2.5D glass, metallic body build and is backed by a 3000 – 3300mAh battery, which should last about a day or more of usage.

Under the hood, an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clocked at 1.6GHz runs the show along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space. In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 13MP f/1.9 camera and a front facing 8MP f/1.9 camera for selfies and video chats.

On the front, the fingerprint sensor is embedded into the physical home button while the Dual SIM slots and MicroSD card slot (both 4G LTE enabled) are on the left hand side. The speaker and power button occupies the right hand side.

Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime include – 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and GLONASS. Black and Gold are the available colour options.
