Xiaomi has announced a new laptop in partnership with China Mobile. The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G comes with built-in 4G LTE (Cat. 4) support and has the same all-metal body design as the original Mi Notebook Air. It also arrives in the familiar 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch screen models.
Pre-installed with Windows 10 OS, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G has a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD), 170-degree wide viewing angle, a 135-degree hinge (opening and closing), Dolby Audio, USB Type-C port, HDMI port, additional SSD expansion slot and 1MP HD webcam.
The 12.5-inch version is equipped with Intel Core m3 6Y30 processor, Intel HD Graphics 515 GPU, 4GB RAM, 128GB SATA Solid State Drive (SSD), 1 x USB 3.0 port and a 37Wh battery with up 11.5h battery life. It measures 292 x 202 x 12.9 mm in size, weighs 1.07kg and AKG Customised dual 1W speakers.
The 13.3 model packs 8GB RAM, Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA Gefore GT 940MX GPU, 256GB PCIe × 4 NVMe SSD, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, and backed by a 40Wh battery with up to 9.5h battery life. It measures 309.6 x 210.9 x 14.8mm, weighs 1.28kg and AKG Customised dual 2W speakers.
Available in Gold and Silver colour options, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G is priced at CNY 4699 (US$ 676) for the 12.5-inch model and the 13.3-inch model costs CNY 6999 (US$ 1,005). It comes bundled with a monthly 4GB plan worth CNY 130 (US$ 19) for a year i.e 48GB data per year for CNY 1560 (US$ 225).
