Chinese tablet maker, Onda is preparing to launch a new convertible laptop in the market with 12.2-inch display and Intel Atom x7 – the Onda oBook 12. The Windows 10 device is available for pre-order and can be purchased for a price tag of $369.99. Deliveries are expected before the end of March.
The Onda oBook 12 features a 12.2-inch IPS touchscreen display with 1920 x 1200 pixels screen resolution, 178-degree viewing angle and 360-degrees hinges that allows the screen get flipped to convert the laptop into various modes including using as a tablet when it and the keyboard are back-to-back.
Running Windows 10 Home OS, the laptop is powered by an Intel Atom x7-Z8700 Cherry-Trail quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz (up to 2.4GHz max speed) along with 4GB of RAM, 64GB built-in storage space and a microSD card slot for expanding storage (up to 128GB) when required.
Measuring 16mm thick and weighing in at 1.18kg, the Onda oBook 12 is equipped with USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and micro USB ports, OTG, HDMI port, as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. A front facing 2-megapixel camera is onboard and 30Wh battery under the hood which is rated to offer up to 6 hours of battery life.
