Chinese Tablet PC company,ONDA is ready to release the ONDA V919 3G Core M tablet into the markets; the tablet uses a 9.7-inch retina screen, powered by the latest Intel Core M processor and is ready to ready receive the Windows 10 OS update whenever it arrives.
The ONDA V919 Core M is basically the Intel Core M version of the ONDA V919 Air 3G which was announced in January this year. As the name suggests, it is powered by Intel’s Fifth Generation Core M Processor Intel Broadwell Core-M 5Y10c) clocked at 0.8 GHz as the base speed and goes up to 2 GHz as the Turbo speed. The chipset uses the X86 architecture and is built using the 14nm process.
The processor is paired with the 800MHz Intel HD Graphics 5300 for Graphics, gamers would be looking to take advantage of this as well as the DirectX11 and Gravity Sensor. There is 4GB of RAM on-board to handle tasks, 64GB SSD storage and supports up to 128GB more space thanks to a microSD (TF) card slot.
The ONDA V919 3G Core M sports a 9.7-inch (2048 x 1536 pixels) IPS Retina display with a visible angle of 178° and a pixel density of 264ppi. It has metal unibody design which is achieved using crystal diamond cutting technology and measures just 7.5mm in thickness (thin).
On the rear, there is a 5MP AutoFocus camera and a front 2MP camera can be found too. Connectivity options on the tablet includes – Bluetooth, 3G (WCDMA), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, OTG, WiDi wireless output and HDMI. The tablet comes with genuine Windows 8.1 pre-installed (upgradable to Windows 10 OS) and is backed by a 8000mAh battery which is expected to provide a nominal 5 hours usage time.
Accessories such as external keyboard, external mouse, removable hard disk drives and more can be used. The ONDA V919 3G Core M is priced at CNY 1999 which is equivalent to $321 but those outside China looking to buy from third party resellers may pay up to $370 or around $400 depending on the seller.
