OnePlus has announced that the OnePlus 2 launch date is scheduled for July 27th at 7PM PT/10PM ET. The Chinese upstart would announce its next flagship smartphone at the live streamed event to the world in Virtual Reality (VR), which points to the fact that it is the first product to launch in VR.
OnePlus has redesigned the Google Cardboard and added more features to the ones existing on the Cardboard 2.0; the VR headset is now resistant to oil and dust, durable, more compact to house the OnePlus smartphone and other devices up to 6-inch size. Once you can come up with shipping fee you’ll be able to get your hands on this.
Armed with the Cardboard headset, users would be able to walk around with the OnePlus team and fellow fans to check out the new product as it launches and you might also find some easter eggs bundled inside too.
Two of the most prominent specs to expect from the OnePlus 2 is already tipped a redesigned and improved Snapdragon 810 processor called the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 version 2.1 (SD 810 v2.1). The high-end chipset has been dogged with over heating issues on flagships but OnePlus has calmed down fears stating the chipset has been tweaked to work with both software and hardware.

The other is the fact that, the OnePlus 2 would be the first flagship device to make use of the USB Type-C connector. The device is expected to run the company’s Oxygen OS or Hydrogen OS depending on the market and would be available on sale via the much hated Invite system.
