OnePlus has unveiled its widely anticipated OnePlus 6 smartphone at an event in London. As expected, the flagship features the trending notched fullscreen display, dual rear cameras and powered by the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform with up to 8GB of RAM.
The OnePlus 6 sports a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED display with 2280 x 1080 pixels (Full HD+) resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, 84% screen-to-body ratio, DCI-P3 color gamut and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It also features a fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack and the alert slider has been moved to the right.
As with the OnePlus 5T; the smartphone features dual rear cameras – 16MP (f/1.7, OIS, EIS) + 20MP (f/1.7) and a front facing 16MP (f/2.0) camera with portrait mode (expected via software update) and support for facial recognition. It comes pre-loaded with OxygenOS 5.1 (based on Android Oreo OS).
It is water resistant and supports 40 global bands as well as Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC. Power is supplied by a 3,300mAh battery with OnePlus’s proprietary DASH charge (5V/2A) fast charge technology. The rest of the specs are detailed below:
