Some days ago, OnePlus teased an announcement on its social media pages slated for today, April 20th. While most sources tipped the release of a new smartphone or little suggested that the company was looking to drop the invite system.
As the announcement would go today, Oneplus has officially announced it has dropped the invite system of getting the Oneplus One smartphone. This means you can purchase the device anytime and anywhere via open sales (once it is listed).
The company is in celebratory mood as it has sold over 1 million units of the One smartphone worldwide; the firm has grown to a company with a good social media presence with over 700 employees and by April 23rd the company would celebrate a year anniversary of the release of the OnePlus One smartphone.
While the OnePlus One smartphone is now without invites, the company conformed the upcoming OnePlus 2 would be available at first with the invite system.
For a day(today), the company is offering 75% discount on OnePlus Flip Covers and Premium Screen Protectors. Also, the Bamboo StyleSwap covers will now be available without an invite. The promotion is only relevant to the following markets – USA/Canada, the European Union, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
