Fast growing Chinese company, OnePlus has surprised us all by releasing the OnePlus Sandstone Case – an accessory for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s (none yet for the phablet-sized Plus models). It is already on sale for $19.99 in the US (€19.99 in Europe/ £15.99 in the UK) on the company’s website.
The OnePlus Sandstone Case is made of polycarbonate body and as the name suggests has the same feel as that which has become synonymous with the OnePlus flagship killer smartphones. The case measures 138.7 x 70.2 x 10.5mm in dimensions and weighs about 20 grams; all two definitely contributes more to the overall weight and thickness of the device, however, one of the pros is it shields the camera well.
The accessory is available in limited quantities and is made specifically for this holiday period. Still in the merriment spirit, OnePlus will be including regular invite and limited edition ceramic invite for the OnePlus X smartphone in the package box. There are also smaller possibilities of a free device being included too.
With the Sandstone Case for iPhones, many has called out OnePlus for making cheap PR Stunts as usual but criticisms asides, the company could shifting focus from being just another Android vendor from China to a well rounded company who knows it’s onions well.
