Alongside the three new OnePlus 9 smartphones, the company also unveiled its first ever smartwatch – the OnePlus Watch. The smartwatch emulates traditional watches with its circular but sleek stainless-steel design coupled with built-in GPS, advanced health sensors to measure stress and blood oxygen level, and a lasting battery that provides up to two weeks of conservative or one week of active usage.
Priced starting at US$ 159, the OnePlus Watch does the obvious fitness monitoring coupled with over 100 workout types ranging from mild to intense, and features IP68-rating (water and dust resistance), as well as 5 ATM rating (withstands pressure equal to the depth of up to 50 meters), and heart rate monitoring. It is built around a 1.39-inch AMOLED display (326ppi) with 2.5D curved glass and the control buttons are placed around the side.
The watch arrives with over 50 watch faces, 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal storage (2GB useable) and the straps are interchangeable in the only 46mm case size. It connects to via Bluetooth and users can receive, or make calls, view and respond to notifications, and play or view media. It can be used as a smart remote control for the OnePlus TV.
OnePlus is offering the Watch in Moonlight Black and Moonlight Silver colours but there is also a Limited Cobalt Edition with Cobalt alloy instead of the stainless steel and the face of the watch is crafted from specially treated sapphire glass instead of 2.5D curved glass. It will be available in North America from April 14, India from April 15, and Europe from April 26.
