Ooredoo Myanmar, a subsidiary of the Qatari Ooredoo Group, has launched two new own-branded 4G-enabled smartphones – the Ooredoo Smart V7 and Ooredoo Smart A3 in the home market. The new entrants are both manufactured by ZTE and are on sale for MMK 210,350 (~US$ 154) and MMK 119,350 (~US$ 88) respectively.
The Ooredoo Smart V7 is based on the ZTE Blade V7 Plus which comes pre-loaded with the dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and relies on a 2,500mAh battery while the Ooredoo Smart A3 is based on ZTE Blade A320 which boots the recently dated Android 7.0 Nougat OS and depends on a 2,200mAh battery.
The Smart V7 has a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD display with 2.5D curved glass, front facing 5MP selfie camera and rear 13MP camera with PDAF. It packs an octa-core Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, and paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in expandable storage.
The smaller Smart A3 sports a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA TN display, front 2MP camera for selfies and video chats and rear facing 5MP camera. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space.
