OPPO has unveiled the 5G version of the OPPO A93 in China. The OPPO A93 5G is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 (SM4350) mobile platform while the 4G version released late in 2020 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P95 SoC. It also comes pre-loaded with ColorOS 11.1 (based on Android 11) and supports dual-mode 5G connectivity, thanks to the new chipset.
The OPPO A93 5G has a 6.5-inch FHD+ LTPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, 405ppi pixel density, side-facing fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio jack, microSD card slot (supports up to 256GB cards), Bluetooth 5.1, and 8MP (f/2.0) selfie camera in the punch-hole notch. To enhance performance, the phone has three-layer cooling system with copper, graphite and thermal silicone layers, and a large heat dissipation area (up to 9881mm²).
The main camera setup is made up of triple sensors – a 48MP (f/1.7) main, 2MP (f/2.4) portrait, and 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens. Power is supplied by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W (9V/2A) fast charging via USB-C port. The phone is available in two configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage (pricing unknown) and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage (CNY1,999/ $310/ €255). It arrives in three colour choices – Aurora, Dazzle Black, and Elegant Silver.
