OPPO’s new custom UI for OPPO and Realme smartphones – the ColorOS 7 has made its debut at an event in Beijing, China. According to statistics released by the Chinese manufacturer, ColorOS is now available in more than 80 languages and has over 300 million users around the world.
ColorOS 7 is based on Android 10, which means it will arrive with a revamped UI, new dark mode, various performance enhancements and changes to the camera and gallery apps. The UI revamped also offers better and more comfortable colour system, customisable icons and reduces visual fatigue, and sound effects has been redesigned by renowned Danish sound company, Episound.

Three new features to the camera app include Portrait Mode 2.0, enhanced night mode, super-steady mode (video capture), Soloop video editor and AI Beautification 2.0. Other notable changes include faster app startup time (up to 40% lower than its predecessor), better RAM optimization and improvements to in-game frame rates and touch response to enhance gaming experience.
OPPO also mentioned the inclusion of Riding Mode, App lock, Private Safe, AI Beautification 2.0, smart assistant and more. The timeline for the release of ColorOS 7 (ColorOS 7 + Android 10 Trial Version Plan) can be found below:

Starting with the Realme X and Realme X Youth Edition, Realme smartphones will get a slightly modified version of ColorOS 7 in February 2020. Other expected to get the update include: Realme Q (March 2020), Realme X2 and Realme X2 Pro (April 2020).
