At the beginning of the year, Oppo announced a new F series of mid-range smartphones which have a solid body build, good camera experience and affordable price. The Oppo F1 is the first device from the series, it is available for pre-order in Vietnam for a price tag of VND 6,490,000 (USD 289). Sales start on January 21st.
One of the highlights of the Oppo F1 is the camera, it has a front facing 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 lens and a sensor with a 1/4 pixel size. The Beautify 3.0 Suite comes with 8 colour filters for use in editing photos and the screen also serves as a Flash in low light conditions. The main camera is a 13MP snapper with f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash.
Housed in a glossy Aluminium metal body with Zircon sand brushing, the F1 sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD), a pixel density of 294ppi and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor clocked at 1.7GHz with Adreno 405 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage.
The Oppo F1 has Dual SIM slots (Micro + Nano), expandable storage up to 128GB, supports LTE connectivity and runs Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It measures 143.5 x 71 x 7.25mm in dimensions, has weight of 134 grams and is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
