At an event in Mumbai yesterday, Oppo announced the Oppo F1 Plus and Oppo F1 smartphones in India.
The F1 will be available starting February 1st in Eight (8) cities in the country for a price tag of Rs. 15,990 (USD 235) in Golden and Rose Gold colour option while the F1 Plus will arrive later in April for a price tag of Rs. 26,990 (USD 397).
Oppo F1
Measuring about 7.25mm thin, the Oppo F1 sports a 5-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space ( expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot).
For photography, there is a rear facing 13MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), LED flash and a front facing 8MP camera. The phone has the Hybrid Dual SIM slots, weigh 134 grams, measures 143.5 x 71 x. 7.25 mm in dimensions, boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Oppo’s ColorOS 2.1 ontop and backed by a 2500mAh battery.
Oppo F1 Plus
The Oppo F1 Plus is a bigger model of the Oppo F1 which went official in January. It sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD IPS display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 protection and relies on octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 4GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage space which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
For photography, there is a rear facing 13MP camera with Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and 1080p video recording; and a front camera which will offer a more sophisticated user experience. It uses a Hybrid Dual SIM slots and run Oppo ColorOS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lolllipop OS.
