OPPO has taken the wraps off its new flagship – the OPPO Find X, at The Louvre in Paris. The high-end device sports a 6.4-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels) FHD+ OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 93.8% screen-to-body ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and curves on both sides similar to the Samsung Galaxy S9.
On the inside, the Find X is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core mobile platform and backed by a 3,730mAh battery with VOOC fast charging. It packs 8GB of RAM, either 128GB or 256GB built-in storage, USB Type-C audio, dual nano SIM slots and support for worldwide LTE Bands.
It comes pre-loaded with ColorOS 5.1 (based on Android Oreo) but will be upgradable to Android P beta when it is available. The smartphone’s three cameras i.e 20MP (f/2.0, OIS) + 16MP (f/2.2) AI-assisted dual rear cam and 25MP (f/2.2) selfie cam as well as sensors – are hidden behind a pop-up mechanism.
The front camera is aided with 3D AI selfie capture to intelligently analyse user’s body features such as eye, nose, face, etc and take personalised selfies. Similar to Apple’s Animoji on the iPhone X, the 3D Omoji feature on the OPPO Find X allows the user capture real-time facial expressions in a fun way.
While there is no mention of a fingerprint sensor, the device relies on its 3D facial scanning (0-Face Recognition) for unlocking and secure online payments. The OPPO Find X is priced at EUR 999 for the 8GB/256GB storage models and comes in Bordeaux Red as well as Glacier Blue colours.

OPPO also announced the Lamborghini Limited Edition model of the Find X at the launch event. This model features a classic carbon fiber textured back along with a 3D Lamborghini car logo, up to 512GB built-in storage space and the long awaited Super VOOC Flash charge.
With the powerful 10V/5A (50W) Super VOOC charger, the device’s 3,400mAh battery goes from 0 – 100% in just 34 minutes. The OPPO Find X Lamborghini Limited Edition is priced starting at EUR 1699 and comes in a special OPPO/Lamborghini branded box.
