OPPO has introduced its OPPO Hyper Boost mobile acceleration technology – it’s answer to Huawei’s GPU Turbo and Xiaomi’s AI powered system management in MIUI 10 at an event in Shanghai. This new initiative sees the company work closely with various partners to full elevate Android smartphone users’ experience by boosting performance in three key aspects: application, gaming and system.
According to the release, the OPPO Hyper Boost is a “full-scenario, system-level performance boost engine,” capable of allocating system resources according to a number of scenarios. It also uses Behavior-Aware Scheduling (BAS) solution for boosting the systems performance.
- Application: OPPO has optimized social media apps such as WeChat, Mobile Taobao and QQ. The fluency of incoming and outgoing conversation pages on WeChat has increased by 29.8%; unread chat groups increased by 23.55% and smoothness of the Circle of Friends increased by 19.9%.
- Gaming: The Company partnered with Tencent, Netease and major game engines such as Unreal, Unity and Cocos to optimize the TOP 100 mobile games through component acceleration. It currently provides optimization for 11 of the most popular game titles including PUBG and Honor Of Kings. Also, it intelligently distributes the traffic between cellular and Wi-Fi data networks to reduce overall network latency and ensure a more relaxed and smoother gaming experience.
- System: With partners like Qualcomm and MediaTek, OPPO will optimize resource allocation on devices based on both platforms. It also delivers up to 31.9% faster loading time in apps.
The OPPO R17 Series smartphones will be first set of smartphones to feature the Hyper Boost acceleration technology. More OPPO devices are expected to join this list later.
