Following the recent launch of the OPPO K7 5G, the company has added a new 5G smartphone – the OPPO K7x to its growing K-series collection in China. It is modelled after the Realme V5 5G and based on the same MediaTek Dimensity 720 (2x Cortex-A76 @ Up to 2GHz + 6x Cortex-A55 @ Up to 2GHz) 7nm octa-core (MT6853C) processor which provides dual-mode 5G (NSA/SA) connectivity.
The K7x has a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate, 400 nits (600 nits peak) typical brightness, 1,500:1 static contrast ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The front 16MP (f/2.0, 79o FOV) camera with 5-element lens is housed in the top-left notch and power is delivered by a 5,000mAh battery with 30W (5V/6A) VOOC 4.0 fast charging.
The rear quad camera system is made up of a 48MP (f/1.7) primary camera paired with 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide angle, 2MP (f/2.4) depth and 2MP (f/2.4) macro sensors. The rest of the specs includes USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and ColorOS 7.2 (based on Android 10). The OPPO K7x is available in one storage configuration (6GB LPDDR4X RAM + 128GB UFS 2.1 storage) and currently on sale only in China for CNY 1,499 (US$ 226). Black Mirror and Blue Shadow are the available colours.
