Oppo has officially announced the Oppo Neo 5S; a variant of the Oppo Neo 5 which was announced last year. The device now supports 4G LTE, is now compatible with local and international network bands, and now has a more appealing look with its plastic body et metal looking frame.
Checking out the specs, the improvements are not much; the Oppo Neo 5S sports a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) resolution display resulting in pixel density of 294ppi, powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB space of internal storage.
On the rear, there is a 8MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies and video chats. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion and supports Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G LTE connectivity options. The Neo 5S comes with Dual SIM slots (Nano + Micro), runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS with Color OS 2.0.1 ontop and is backed by a 2000mAh battery.
The Oppo Neo 5S is expected to be available in South-Eastern Asian countries. There is no word on the pricing yet but it would be available in White and Black colour options.
