Oppo has officially announced a new entry-level smartphone, the device follows the company’s Neo series of device which comes with a eye catching body design and a mirror-like surface on the back whilst not forgetting the rounded edge. The device should be available globally (because it is listed as so) but there is no word yet on pricing.
The Oppo Neo 7 sports a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD TFT display, powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with Adreno 306 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage. For storage expansion, there is a microSD card slot which supports up to 128GB cards.
The device has Dual SIM slots, supports 2G/3G/4G LTE networks and connectivity options onboard includes – GPS, USB OTG, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. For photography purposes, there is a rear facing 8-Megapixels camera with f/2.0 aperture and a front facing 5-Megapixels camera with Screen Flash, f/2.4 aperture for selfies.
Running Color OS 2.1 which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, the Oppo Neo 7 measures 142.7 x 71.7 x 7.55 mm in dimensions, weighs 141 grams in size and is backed by a non-removable 2420mAh Li-Po battery expected to provide around a day (or more) of battery life. Ivory White and Midnight Blue with are the available colour options.
