In recent times, OPPO has been on-a-roll with the launch of smartphones such as the OPPO K1 and R17 Series with fullscreen, waterdrop notch displays and in-display fingerprint sensor. The Chinese company has just announced the OPPO R15x with all of these features.
The OPPO R15x shares a number of features with the recently-announced OPPO K1. It has a large 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED 19.5:9 display with 91% screen-to-body ratio and waterdrop notch to house the front facing 25MP camera, 3D glass back, in-display fingerprint sensor and a 3,600mAh battery.
Internally, it boots ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo OS and relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core mobile platform paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage space (expandable up to 256GB via microSD). It is equipped with 16MP + 2MP dual rear cameras.
The OPPO R15x is priced at CNY 2,499 (USD 360 or EUR 310) for only the 6GB + 128GB model’ It will go on sale in Glacial Ice and Nebula colours starting November 1 via online and offline markets across China.
