Oppo has quietly announced the Oppo U3 with the device expected to be launched on January 14th. However, a new Oppo smartphone – the Oppo R1C (Oppo R8207) or the Oppo R1C 4G Smartphone is expected to go launch alongside the device on that day.
2015 is looking like a very promising year for the popular Chinese OEMS – Xiaomi has scheduled an event for January 14 and Meizu is expected to announce not one but three devices on January 27.
One feature which stood the Oppo U3 out is its 4x Optical Zoom on its rear 13MP camera. The Oppo R1C is rumored to pack a a rear sapphire glass panel but the specs is no different from any mid-range device around. it features a 5-inch 720p display, powered by 1.5GHz qualcomm snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
Other features of the Oppo R1C includes a 13MP main camera with LED flash, a front 5MP camera and LTE connectivity support. In some days time we will have more details on this interesting piece of device.
