Oppo R1C goes official, shipping starts January 20th for $403

As expected, the Oppo R1C has been officially announced today; you can pre-order the device starting today but shipping starts by 10.00am on January 20th for RMB 2499 ($403.50).

As earlier stated there would be a version of the Oppo R1C which would sport a Sapphire Glass back panel; would support LTE connectivity as well as come in Dual SIM card slots.

The Oppo R1C features a 5-inch 1280 x 720 pixels display, powered by 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm snapdragon 615 (64-bit) processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.

On the rear is a 13MP Sony IM214 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a front facing 5MP camera, measures just 6.85mm in thickness, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with Color OS 2.0.1 ontop and is powered by a 2420mAh battery.

Oppo also has the Oppo U3 which would come with a 4x optical zoom on its 13MP rear camera and is expected to cost around RMB 2798 ($451). The Oppo U3 sports a 5.9-inch Full HD display, powered by a 64-bit 1.7GHz MT6752 octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, measures 8mm in thickness, weighs 160 grams and is backed by a 3000mAh battery which will support the VOOC charging technology (Rapid Charging).
