Of late, Oppo has been all about smartphones with high-res front cameras for quality selfies. A new mid-range offering from the company’s R series has surfaced on GFXBench with a front facing 16MP camera – same front camera on the Oppo F1s, Oppo A59s, Oppo A57 and the Oppo R9s & R9s Plus.
Pre-installed with the dated Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the Oppo R66 Specs starts off with a 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution, an octa-core Mediatek MT6750 Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with ARM Mali-T860 MP2 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage out of which 26GB is available to the end user.
The main camera is a 13MP snapper with LED flash and PDAF is also expected. Judging from recent Oppo smartphones, the device could have a full metal body, a fingerprint sensor (home button), front selfie flash or screen flash, 4G LTE support with Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and a reasonable battery capacity.
Unlike TENAA, GFXBench benchmark only reveals some of the key hardware details to expect. No images, render or proof of existence back up these claims. There is no word on a potential launch date or availability, we will bring more information when we have them.
