OPPO Reno’s smartphone series has welcomed a new addition in form of the OPPO Reno Z. Unlike the other existing Reno branded models (Reno | Reno 10x Zoom) with no-notch, the device has a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED 19:5:9 display with water-drop notch, TÜV Rheinland certification and HDR 10 support, In-display fingerprint sensor, Dual nano-SIM, Dolby Atmos sound, 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5 and USB Type-C port.
Backed by a 4,035mAh battery with OPPO’s 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging, the Reno Z is the first smartphone to be based on the Mediatek Helio P90 octa-core 12nm processor with IMG PowerVR GM 9446 GPU and comes pre-loaded with the ColorOS 6.0 (based on Android 9 Pie). It packs up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB built-in storage and built-in NFC for contactless payment (OPPO Pay).
Photography is handled by 48MP (f/1.7) + 5MP (f/2.4) dual rear cameras with PDAF and CAF – same as the OPPO Reno but the selfie camera has been upped to a 32MP (f/2.0) snapper with AI enhancements. The OPPO Reno Z is priced at CNY 2,499 (~US$ 362) for both models (6GB RAM + 256GB storage or 8GB RAM + 128GB storage) and comes in Bead White, Coral Orange, Jet Black and Purple colours. Sales commence in China starting from June 6th.
OPPO has also released two new colour options for the OPPO Reno: Coral (Peach Orange) and Inspiration (Dark Blue and Purple) Edition. They will also be available from June 6 for CNY 3,299 (~US$ 480).
