During the launch of the Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G, OPPO confirmed the existence and launch date of the Reno5 Pro+ 5G smartphone. The high-end device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (1x Cortex A77 @2.84GHz + 3x Cortex-A77 @2.4GHz and 4x Cortex-A55 @1.8GHz) mobile platform and will feature the same 65W fast charging available on devices in the same series. It will also have a quad rear camera setup and a punch-hole camera notch.
OPPO did not give out detailed information about the device yet, however, various sources expect it to just stray slightly away from the Pro model. It is speculated to have an OLED display with FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It should also retain the 32MP (f/2.4) selfie camera, USB Type-C port, NFC and ColorOS 11.1 (based on Android 11).
The quad rear camera setup could include a primary 50MP lens with Sony IMX766 sensor, 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 13MP telephoto lens and 2MP macro lens. Power will be delivered by a 4,500mAh battery which will rely on the USB-C port and 65W fast charging tech. The OPPO Reno5 Pro+ 5G is scheduled to be available on sale from December 24.
