During the launch of the OPPO Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G smartphones, the company mentioned a more powerful third member – the OPPO Reno 5 Pro+ 5G which will arrive with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core mobile platform and 3-dimensional VC liquid cooling system later this month. Sales of the Pro+ 5G flagship has commenced in China and pricing starts at CNY 3,999 (8GB RAM + 128GB storage) while the top-end model (12GB RAM + 256GB storage) starts at CNY 4,499. OPPO is also releasing an Artist Limited Edition in collaboration with artist Joshua Vides. This model has the same configuration as the top-end model and sells for the same price.
The OPPO Reno5 Pro+ 5G has most the specs of the Pro model, and other incremental features. It has the primary 50MP Sony IMX766 (f/1.8, OIS + EIS, 1.0μm pixel) sensor alongside 16MP (f/2.2, 119˚) ultra-wide, 13MP telephoto (f/2.4, 5x hybrid zoom) and 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens. The quad setup supports Live HDR video algorithm and DOL-HDR (digital overlap wide dynamic range), to improve the dynamic range, image and video quality when recording.
It maintains the same 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz display refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate, in-display fingerprint sensor, 32MP (f/2.4) selfie camera in the punch-hole notch, Dolby Atmos sound, and 4,500mAh battery with 65W Oppo SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging. It comes pre-loaded with ColorOS 11 (based on Android 11), supports reverse wireless charging and feature the 2D style back pattern on the back cover that makes its transparent yet dazzling tone (Reno Glow).
