The Mobile World Congress 2016 saw a lot of new mobile devices from various industry players as well as other innovative products and announcements. Oppo also took to this event to announce the Super VOOC Fast Charge technology which the company describes as the fastest smartphone charging tech in the world.
The new Super VOOC Fast Charge revolves around a process that combines an all-new low-voltage pulse-charge system and a customised battery. This makes it capable of charging a 2500mAh battery full (100%) in 15 minutes and technically with just 5 minutes of charge, the battery can go from 0 to 45%.
The Super VOOC Flash Charge is near the stage where it would be commercially available, by that we expect it to debut an Oppo smartphone when the time comes. The new tech is assured to be safe for usage and supports both Micro-USB and USB Type-C , in line with the global standard.
Two years ago (March 2014), Oppo introduced the VOOC Fast Charge technology commercially, which is four times faster than most normal chargers. Five minutes of charge using the tech provides up to two hours of straight talk time. The company also launched the Oppo VOOC Mini, a portable Flash charger in October 2014.
