Orbra Eve 2 with 5.5″ FHD display, 4165mAh battery and possible update to Android Marshmallow

Nigerian ITC company, Orbra has the Orbra Eve 2 already listed on the company’s website for a while. The device was initially on pre-order for around N55,000 directly from the company but is now selling for around N58,500 – N60,000.

The company claims the Orbra Eve 2 as well as other devices from its stable are deigned in Nigeria, the Software and packaging are done in the country but as there are not any recognisable mobile devices assembly plant in Nigeria, the hardware assembly is done in China.

Orbra hopes to collaborate with some partners and shareholders to bring a factory to Nigeria before the end of 2016. This I must say is a very huge ambition on its path considering Tecno has also promised something similar to this, and we are still waiting.

Back to the Eve 2, the device sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection, powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. The device has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB and ships with a free 32GB microSD card.

For photography, there is a 5MP front facing camera for selfies and recording HD videos; and a rear facing 13MP camera with LED flash and FHD video recording. The Orbra Eve 2 has a fingerprint scanner onboard, has Dual Micro SIM slots, supports standard connectivity options including 4G LTE.

Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with possible update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow (this is a massive turn-on), the whole shebang is backed by a 4165mAh battery which should last up to 2 or 3 days of mixed usage and has Orbra Power + Standby power management.
