At the recently concluded Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 event in Barcelona, Spain, Oukitel showcased top smartphones from its current portfolio along with new ones such as the Oukitel WP5000 and Oukitel U19. The duo feature fullscreen displays and are powered by 64-bit Mediatek processors.
Oukitel WP5000
Built specifically for adventurers, the tri-proof Oukitel WP5000 is the first rugged smartphone from the brand’s new WP series. It has a waterproof, dustproof and shockproof body which is made of zinc alloy metal and military-grade tri-proof plastic, giving it a traditionally rugged design.
The WP5000 dons a 5.7-inch 18:9 display with HD+ resolution, 6GB of RAM, 64GB built-in storage, front facing 8MP camera (interpolated up to 13MP) and rear facing 16MP camera (interpolated up to 21MP). It is powered by an octa-core Helio P25 processor and depends on a 5,000mAh battery.
Oukitel U19
Next is the Oukitel U19, the direct successor to the U18. It has the same 5.85-inch 18:9 display with HD+ resolution and front notch as the Oukitel U18, however, it is powered by a Mediatek MT6739 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage and depends on a 3,600mAh battery.
For photography, the U19 has a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and a dual rear camera setup which includes a primary 13MP camera paired with a secondary 2MP camera.
