In the space of a week, Panasonic has announced yet another Android Marshmallow OS powered smartphone in India. The Panasonic Eluga Arc 2 is meant to be the follow up to the Eluga Arc released back in April and comes packed in a metal chassis frame with 2.5D curved glass back.
Although the fingerprint sensor do not make the cut from the predecessor; the Panasonic Eluga Arc 2 sports a bigger 5-inch display compared to 4.7-inch and the battery capacity has seen an increase to 2450mAh battery from 1800mAh. The screen resolution however remain the same – 1280 x 720 pixels (HD).
Under the hood, the device packs the Hybrid Dual SIM slots (micro + Nano/microSD) and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired along with 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD and the OS onboard is Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
In the camera aspect, there is a rear facing 8-megapixel AF camera with LED flash while the front camera is a 5MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Connectivity options on the Eluga Arc 2 includes 4G LTE with VoLTE, USB OTG, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and USB.
The Panasonic Eluga Arc 2 measures 144 x 72 x 7.6 mm in dimensions, weigh in at 147 grams and is equipped with Panasonic’s new Turbo Download Feature which combines Mobile Data + Wi-Fi for quicker downloads. It will arrive in Gold and Rose Gold colours for a price tag less than that of its predecessor – Rs. 12,290 (US$ 184)
