Panasonic has announced the launch of the Panasonic Eluga C in Taiwan. Borrowing its design inspiration from some existing smartphones in Sharp’s Aquos series and Xiaomi’s Mi MIX, the mid-range device features a bezel-less display (without the increasingly common 18:9 aspect ratio) and dual rear cameras.
The Panasonic Eluga C comes equipped with a primary 13MP camera with f/2.2 aperture aided by a secondary 2MP camera. On the front, it sports a 8MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and the home button houses the fingerprint sensor which recognises up to five (5) fingerprints and has 0.3s unlock time.
The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD S-IPS LCD display with 84.6% screen-to-body ratio and 450 nits of brightness. On the inside, it powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6750T processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD.
It is backed by a lasting 3,000mAh battery and comes bundled with a 7.5W charger. The Panasonic Eluga C currently on pre-order in Taiwan and is on sale for TWD 6,000 (US$ 200). Black, Blue and Rose are the available colour options.
