Following the recent launch of its AI-powered virtual assistant – Arbo, Panasonic India has announced the launch of two new 4G VoLTE enabled smartphones – the Panasonic Eluga Ray and Panasonic P85.
Both budget 4G smartphones are exclusively available online via Flipkart and features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, run the dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and a long lasting 4000mAh battery.
Priced at Rs. 7999 (US$ 125), the Panasonic Eluga Ray relies on a 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space (expandable up to 64GB via microSD). It measures 144.4 x 71.6 x 9.7 mm, weighs 169 grams and arrives in Gold, Rose Gold and Space Grey colours.
Photography is handled by a rear facing 13MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP selfie camera with LED flash. The front home button houses the fingerprint sensor.
The Panasonic P85 also has a quad-core processor (clocked at 1.0GHz) paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage (expandable up 64GB via microSD). It costs Rs. 6499 (US$ 101) and features a rear 8MP camera with LED flash along with a front facing 2MP camera for selfies and video chats.
