Panasonic Eluga Turbo debuts with HD display, 3GB RAM, 4G LTE

Panasonic India has announced a new smartphone in the Eluga series – the Panasonic Eluga Turbo. The company’s latest 4G smartphone is available exclusively from Snapdeal for a price tag of Rs 10999 (USD 163) in Blue colour option only.

The Dual SIM enabled Panasonic Eluga Turbo sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) reulting in a pixel density of 294ppi. The 6.95mm thick device has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front and Asahi DragonTrail Glass protection on the back.

Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space. For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot and for photography, a rear facing 13-megapixel camera with LED Flash and 1080p video recording; and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video chats.

Connectivity options on the Panasonic Eluga Turbo includes – 4G LTE Cat.4/ 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and micro USB v2.0. It is backed by a non-removable 2350mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. If the Eluga Turbo had a fingerprint sensor, it would be able to compete better with the LeEco Le 1s, Coolpad Note 3 and Lenovo K4 Note in the Indian market. ‎
