Panasonic will continue its tradition of bringing at least one smartphone from the company’s Eluga series to the MWC. This year’s edition will be no different as the Panasonic Eluga U2 would make its debut. It would succeed the Eluga U.
The Panasonic Eluga U2 is the first 64-bit smartphone and first Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box device from the company. It sports a 5-inch HD IPS display, powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 410 processor which clocks at 1.2GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage.
The smartphone uses a front 5MP camera and a main 13MP camera with LED flash for taking pictures, recording videos and selfies included. It uses the normal standard connectivity options – Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as well as 4G LTE connectivity.
The Eluga U2 has a beautiful body design, measures 141.5 x 71 x 7.95mm in dimensions, weighs 151 grams and is backed by a 2500mAh battery. It is available currently in Taiwan for a price equivalent to $254 and is expected to debut at the MWC 2015. Availability outside Asia is unknown for now.
