Panasonic has added a new smartphone – the Panasonic Eluga Z to the Eluga family of devices. The Rs 13490 ($212) priced smartphone is available in Blue, Gold and White colour options. Along with the smartphone, a free Protective Screen Guard, Leather Flip Cover and a Transparent Protective Case is bundled along.
The Panasonic Eluga Z features a 5-inch OnCell HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and has a metal body build which is manufactured using CNC based metal grinding method. Under the hood, it is powered by a True Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.4GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space.
Those needing additional storage can make use of the microSD card slot which allows up to 32GB cards. On the rear, there is a 13MP camera with LED flash and capable of recording videos in 1080p. The front selfie camera is a 5MP snapper.
Connectivity options on the Panasonic Eluga Z includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3G HSPA+ and USB OTG. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, comes with FM Radio, supports Dual SIM functionality, measures 141.3 x 70.6 x 6.85 mm in dimensions and weighs 120 grams.
The Panasonic Eluga Z is backed by a 2050mAh battery, supports 21 regional Indian languages and also has gesture based functions like Smart Swipe, Double Tap to Unlock/Lock and also has an option to use the device with a single hand (Single Hand Usage).
