Panasonic P55 Novo announced with octa-core SoC and 13MP camera with Triple LED Flash

Panasonic has announced a new smartphone – the Panasonic P55 Novo, a entrant into the P series family of device. The lower midrange device is available in Champagne Gold, Midnight Blue and Smoke Gray colour option for Rs 9290 ($147).

The Panasonic P55 Novo is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage and a 5.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. There is a microSD card slot onboard for storage expansion (up to 32GB).

On the rear there is a 13MP camera with Triple LED flash which is capable of recording 1080p videos and a front facing 5MP camera with LED flash for capturing better selfies even in low light conditions. Connectivity options on the P55 Novo includes – 3G HSPA+, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth. 

The Panasonic P55 Novo measures 147.9 × 73.8 × 8.15mm in dimensions, runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, comes with Dual SIM slots with Dual Standby and is backed by a 2500mAh battery. 

The device comes with a Peel Smart Remote app which lets you control devices such as DVDs, TVs, ACs, Fanss and other related devices taking advantage of the IR LED Sensor. It also has Smart Swipe and Double Tap to Lock/Unlock feature.
