Panasonic India has announced a new smartphone with the battery capacity as the unique selling point. Dubbed the Panasonic P75, the new 5-inch sized device is available in — champagne gold and sand black colour options for a price tag of Rs 5990 (US$89).
It also comes with a free protective screen guard which originally should cost Rs 399 (US$ 5.95).
Asides packing a 5000mAh battery which should last several hours of usage; the Panasonic P75 is an entry-level device. It sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB RAM and 8GB built-in storage space which is expandable via a microSD card slot up to 32GB.
In the imaging segment, there is a rear facing 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera with nine various beauty modes. Connectivity options on the device includes – 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Wi-FI direct. It has Dual SIM slots and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the company’s SAIL UI on top.
In a statement, commenting on the launch of the Panasonic P75, Business Head (Mobility Division) Panasonic India, Pankaj Rana said; “With the increased usage of smartphones nowadays, we offer a long-lasting 5000mAH battery P75 smartphone capable of turn-by-turn navigation as well, thereby assisting our consumers on the go.”
