Panasonic is launching its first smartphone for the year, the Panasonic P81 is a dual sim device which runs on octa-core processor and available in Leatherette Black cover.
The Panasonic P81 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution, runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, powered by a 1.7GHz True GHz octa-core MediaTek processor with Mali 450-MP4 GPU, 1GB of RAM and also features upgraded version of the Panasonic’s play life interface with additional software tweaks. It comes with 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB via micro SD support.
On the imaging side, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front camera for video calling, both cameras are capable of 1080p Video recording. The Panasonic P81 has dual sim capability and also on the connectivity side is the usual suspects; 3G, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and GPS, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Micro USB 2.0, and FM Radio.
The Panasonic P81 is expected to be powered by a 2500mAh battery, though the device runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Panasonic Play UI on top with added features like the Smart Ringer and Multi Play.

The Panasonic P81 has already launched in India for Rs. 18,990 (about N54,000) and would be available in stores by the 3rd week of March. The company is giving out additional freebies accessories worth Rs. 11,900 (about N34,000), attached to the Panasonic P81 which includes free apps worth RS. 9900 (N28,000) and accessories worth RS. 2000 (about N6,000).
