A Newly published patent listing has showed a Samsung tablet with foldable display; the tablet display can fold up to two times to forms a single device.
Samsung has been working on foldable display for a while and recent reports suggests that the company’s Internal Project Valley (or Project V) which would bring a smartphone with Dual-screen and foldable display. It seems that Project V would not only be available on smartphones only, tablets and maybe other devices would take advantage too.
The patent with the No. 30-0757696 has just been published online by the Korea Intellectual Property Office and has been applied for around a year-and-half years ago (November 2013). The Samsung tablet can fold up to three parts and it is rather unclear how the tablet will work consider the different form factors.
As it turns out, not all patent filling end up turning out a reality as some end up being mere concepts. However, it the Samsung tablet with foldable display ends up turning a reality, a lot of people would be certainly be interested in see how the tablet would work and what specs it would have.
