The Philips i999 is an upcoming flagship smartphone from company and the device has been certified on TENAA in China. The device runs Android Kitkat OS and rocks a fingerprint scanner which has seems to be a norm from Chinese smartphone makers.
The Philips i999 sports a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD TFT display, powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal storage. Due to its large storage size, there is no microSD card slot onboard. The main camera is a 20MP CMOS Sensor snapper, the front camera is a 8MP unit for selfies and the fingerprint scanner is below the camera on the rear.
Connectivity options on the device includes 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It supports the following network bands – GSM, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE, LTE FDD and WCDMA. Sensor options includes – Gravity, Proximity and Light sensor. The Philips i999 measures 153 x 76 x 8.2mm in dimensions, weighs 160 grams and runs on Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS.
There is no word on the official launch or the pricing yet but the best bet is it would be available in China only.
