Pipo has added a new Dual Boot tablet into the market – the Pipo W6S. The slate comes with Dual SIM slots, has a plastic body build, option to switch OS – from Android to Windows Phone (and vice versa).
The Pipo W6S features a 8.9-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) Full HD PLS display with 16:10 aspect ratio, a pixel density of 225ppi and it has a visible angle of 178-degrees. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F Bay-Trail processor clocked up to 1.83GHz with Intel HD graphics.
Handling tasks on the device is 2GB of RAM and there is 64GB space of internal storage for files. For more storage option, here is a microSD card slot for storage expansion. On the rear, the slate has a 5MP Autofocus camera and a front facing 2MP camera.
There are two variants of the Pipo W6S Dual Boot- a Wi-Fi only variant and the other is a Wi-Fi + 3G variant. Asides 3G and Wi-Fi, the tablet also has GPS, OTG, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, micro HDMI port and micro USB port.
It measures 232 x 148.6 x 8.6mm, weighs 460 grams and is backed by a 6500mAh which is expected to last some hours. Being a Dual boot tablet, the tablet runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and also Windows 8.1 with Bing. Microsoft is throwing in the a year free subscription to the Office 365.
The Wi-Fi model of the Pipo W6S costs $128 while the Cellular connectivity (4G LTE) model costs $145.
