Chinese tablet maker, Pipo has already added the PIPO Work-W8 tablet to its latest tablet offering. The company is known for some of the cheapest Windows tablets in the market. The Work-W8 is currently selling for RMB 2,499 (around $403) on JD.com.
The PIPO Work-W8 comes with a metal body build, sporting a 10.1-inch (2560 x 1600 pixels) QHD IPS display with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a pixel density of 300ppi. Under the hood it is powered by the latest Core M Processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
On the rear there is a 5MP Autofocus camera and there is a front facing 2MP camera on the front. Some of the connectivity option includes – micro USB 3.0 port, micro HDMI port and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It is always rare to find Windows tablets with cellular connectivity coming out of China.
The PIPO Work-W8 runs on Windows 8.1 OS (licensed version) which means it could receive a free upgrade to the upcoming Windows 10 OS. It also comes pre-loaded with one year of Office 365 subscription. The tablet also uses a detachable keyboard to be used as an ultra-book.
