POCO has announced its new mid-tier 5G smartphone – the POCO M3 Pro 5G. It comes pre-loaded with MIUI 12 (based on Android 11) and is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 700 (2x Cortex-A76 @2.2GHz + 6x Cortex-A55 @2GHz) 7nm octa-core chipset paired with either 4GB RAM (LPDDR4X) with 64GB (UFS 2.2) storage or 6GB RAM (LPDDR4X) with 128GB (UFS 2.2) storage. Both storage options are expandable up to 1TB via microSD.
The POCO M3 Pro 5G fits a 6.5-inch FHD+ DynamicSwitch DotDisplay display with 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz variable refresh rate, 91% screen-to-body ratio, 500 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The front punch-hole notch holds the 8MP (f/2.0) selfie camera while the rear triple camera setup includes a 48MP (f/1.79) main camera with LED flash paired with 2MP depth and 2MP (f/2.4) macro sensors.
As the name suggests, the device offers 5G (SA/NSA) alongside a side-placed fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and 225.W charger in-box. Pricing starts at EUR 179 for the 4GB + 64GB model and EUR 199 for the 6GB + 128GB model. It is available globally in Cool Blue, POCO Yellow and Power Black colours via online channels such as Amazon, AliExpress, goboo, and POCO website.
