POCO – now an independent brand off Xiaomi India – has unveiled the POCO X2, which is believed to be a rebrand of the existing Redmi K30 4G. The mid-range device is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G 8nm mobile platform and arrives in three RAM (LPDDR4X) and storage (UFS 2.1) configurations: 6GB + 64GB (INR 15,999), 6GB + 128GB (INR 16,999) and 8GB + 256GB (INR 19,999).
The POCO X2 has a large 6.67-inch Full HD+ 20:9 LCD display with HDR 10 support, ‘Reality Flow’ 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 covering and 91% screen-to-body ratio. The dual punch-hole on the front fits the 20MP (f/2.2) + 2MP (1.75μm pixel size) dual front cameras. Photography is handled by a primary 64MP (f/1.89) camera with Sony IMX686 sensor and 0.8μm pixel size.\
The rest of the setup include an 8MP (f/2.2, 1.12μm pixel size) 120° ultra-wide sensor, 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots and 2MP (f/2.4, 1.75μm pixel size) macro sensor. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, liquid cooling technology, Bluetooth 5, USB Type-C port and 4,500mAh battery with 27W fast charging. It comes pre-loaded with MIUI 11 (Android 10) designed for POCO and sales is expected to commence starting February 11.
