Possible NVIDIA Shield Portable 2 specs spotted on GFXBench

Around two years ago, NVIDIA announced the NVIDIA Shield Portable with Tegra 4 processor; the device gained traction for running Android OS and ability to stream PC games. There is no successor to the tablet yet but it looks like that is about to change. The NVIDIA Shield portable 2 has been spotted on the GFXBench benchmark website as things stand it could being an announcement soon.

Let’s take a look at the NVIDIA Shield Portable 2 specs according to the benchmark listing. It sports a 7.8-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD non touchscreen display and the processor is said to be a quad-core ARM Cortex-A57 processor clocked at 2.0GHz with NVIDIA Tegra GPU. 

Handling task on the device is 3GB of RAM and internal storage is 32GB space out of which only 25GB would be user available. The rest of the listing suggests no back camera, a front 0.3MP camera which can record VGA videos and it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It would have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity as well as Light Sensor.

There could be some errors in the listing as the display should not be more than 5 to 6 inches in size or we could also be wrong. NVIDIA would be attending the Computex 2015 and E3 events which is happening in June, the Shield Portable 2 could see a launch date at one of these event.
